Changes to Weekly World News effective 3-19-12 Changes to Posting Topics:
1) One and only 1 person per week may post on a U.S. related news event.
2) Students may NOT repeat topics in a week. If someone else has already posted on that news item—you must choose something different. If you repeat an item someone else has already posted, you will NOT get credit for the week.
3) You postings must be named so that people can identify the topic.

Changes to Consequences for Late Postings and Late Replies:
Postings are due on Tuesday nights.
o If you are late in posting, you will receive half credit—as long as it is done BEFORE the following Monday.
Replies are due on Thursday nights.
o If you are late in replying, you will receive half credit—as long as it is done BEFORE the following Monday.
ANYTHING NOT DONE BY MONDAY MORNING—You will earn 9thhour.
o I will go through the WWN no later than Monday at lunch time and compile a list of students who DID NOT complete the assignment for the week. Any students who have not completed the assignment will be placed on the 9th hour list for that MONDAY. I will hand in the list to the Dean’s office by the end of B lunch (so 1:10 pm) on Monday. You will be expected to report to 9th hour that day. By no later than 1:10pm on Monday outside of room 104, I will also post a list of students who must attend 9th hour,and the list will remain posted until 2:55 pm. If you fail to show up for 9th hour, you will receive consequences from the Dean’s office. I will try (but I am not promising) to send an email notification to those receiving 9th hour.
o If you receive 9th hour, you will be expected to complete at make-up posting by no later than Tuesday night. You will also need to complete whatever other part of WWN you were assigned to do that week, whether it is a posting or replies.
o Make up postings MUST meet the length requirements of 150 words for a summary and 250 words reflection. If the makeup does not meet the requirement, then you will not receive makeup ½ credit. The posting must be done by Tuesday night or you will not receive makeup ½ credit.
